Indiana State Parks With Hiking Trails
- Many of Indiana's twenty-five state parks feature hiking trails, as well as biking and horseback riding trails. But in most cases, hikers are not permitted on biking and horseback riding trails, and horseback riders and mountain bikers cannot use most of the hiking trails. Hiking trails range in difficulty from easy to very rugged.

- Southeast of Indianapolis and northwest of Louisville, Kentucky, Versailles State Park offers three different hiking trails. Trail lengths range from the easy 1.5-mile Trail 3 to the moderate 2.25-mile Trail 1 and moderate 2.75-mile Trail 2. Trail 1 passes through uplands habitat, while Trail 3 makes a trio of creek-side passes that allow the hiker to pause and enjoy the creek's wildlife. Trail 2 is a figure-eight trail that showcases the southern edge of the Timber Creek and ravine. It meets Trail 1 at the Civilian Conservation Corps-built Oak Grove Shelter.
