Removing the tiles

• 1). Place protective covering over any furniture.
  
  
• 2). Place ladder (if necessary) in place where tiles will be removed. Choose an area where the optimal number of tiles can be reached without having to move the ladder.
  
  
• 3). Put on protective eye wear and gloves.
  
  
• 4). Begin removing the tiles by pushing upward on the tile and angling it sideways to remove it. Be careful not to break the tile.
  
  
• 5). Place all removed tiles side by side on a drop cloth.
  
  
• 6). Paint the tiles using the foam roller. Depending on the texture of the tile, you may need to use a paintbrush to dab paint into crevices the roller cannot reach. Apply at least two coats of paint.
  
  
• 7). Paint the frame of the ceiling to match the tiles. (optional)
  
  
• 8). Carefully replace tiles back into the ceiling.
