Sunny and warm weather prevailed at Anime Expo 2009, making for a fun Fourth of July weekend at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

The nearby Staples Center was buzzing with activity related to the Michael Jackson memorial event that was scheduled for the Tuesday after Anime Expo, but that didn't deter 44,000 fans from coming out to experience this annual anime, manga, gaming and music festival.
