How to Rotate Backdrops in Windows XP

60
    • 1). Click the "Start" button, and click "My Computer."

    • 2). Double-click the "C:" hard drive icon, then double-click the "Windows," "Web" and "Wallpaper" folders. This is the default location where Windows XP stores wallpaper files; if the wallpaper file that you want to rotate is in a different folder, open that folder instead.

    • 3). Right-click an open area of the folder, then click "View" and "Thumbnails." This changes the display mode to show thumbnail images of all wallpaper files in the folder.

    • 4). Right-click the wallpaper file that you want to rotate, then click "Copy." Right-click an open area of the folder, and click "Paste." This creates a copy of the wallpaper file with the name "Copy of (file)," allowing you to rotate the copy without losing the original file.

    • 5). Right-click the copy of the wallpaper file, and click "Rotate Clockwise" or "Rotate Counter Clockwise." Repeat this step to rotate the image 180 degrees.

    • 6). Right-click the rotated image, and click "Set as Desktop Background" to make it your new wallpaper image.
