How to Build a Fishing Pole With a CB Antenna
- 1). Wrap electrical tape around the bottom 10 inches of a 10-foot-long CB whip antenna. These antennas are typically made of metal; the tape protects the skin on your hands and allows for a better grip.
- 2). Tie the tag end of the line around the bottom of the pole. Pull the line tight, and make several knots.
- 3). Hold the string taut, and wrap it around the very end of the pole five times. Tie several knots to ensure that the line remains attached to the antenna's tip. Cover the knots with five wraps of electrical tape.
- 4). Tie a No. 10 hook to the end of the line. Attach a split-shot sinker 12 inches above the hook. Attach the bobber 18 inches above the sinker.
