How to Calculate Static Compression
- 1). Use Compression Ratio Calculator (see References). Once the main Compression Ratio Calculator website is loaded, scroll down to the actual calculator itself. Fill in all of the information related to your engine in the boxes on screen (including the number of cylinders, the bore, the stroke and more) and press "Calculate" to have the utility automatically calculate your static compression. All of the information you need to fill out the boxes can be found in your vehicle's instruction manual.
- 2). Use Static Compression Ratio Calculator (see References). Once you have filled out the boxes in the calculator with all of the requested information, click the "Calculate Compression" button. The static compression of the engine in question will appear in red lettering directly beneath the button you just clicked. All of the information you need to fill out the boxes can be found in your vehicle's instruction manual.
- 3). Use Dragsource's Static Compression Ratio Calculator (see References). The calculator template on this particular site automatically updates itself as you enter information, so there is no button that you need to click. Your static compression information will appear in the box that reads "Your CR will appear here" when no information is in the template. All of the information you need to fill out the boxes can be found in your vehicle's instruction manual.
