As fun and fascinating as swimming pools are, they come with their own high price tag and time-consuming maintenance. Not only is it expensive to install a pool, but also the cost of a proliferation of pool chemicals can be worrisome. In addition to all this, you have to continuously strive to maintain cleanliness using different cleaning devices and materials. - Vacuum pool cleaners help eliminate debris, dirt, pebbles, sand and bugs from the pool water and the pool floor. The machine is similar to the conventional vacuum cleaner, which when attached to the pool's bottom, sucks out all the debris and dirt. Periodically, you will need to empty the vacuum bags filled with pool waste. Since they are electric cleaners, make sure you have a power outlet near the pool for plugging in the machine.
- As opposed to vacuum cleaners, pressure cleaners have several hoses attached to them that spray out high-pressure streams of water, which stir the water and mix the hard debris, dirt and even algae. Once it mixes the waste with the water, the pool's filtration system filters it all out.
- A pool filter is installed between the inflow and outflow hoses of the pool to continuously filter out the debris in the pool. Over time, the pool water accumulates small particles, which makes for unpleasant swimming conditions. The pool filter's job is to clean out the water circulating from the inflow hose to the outflow hose. Keep in mind that the filter is not meant for larger pieces of pool waste, such as leaves, insects or grass clippings.
- A pool skimmer basket is a netting that traps large pieces of dirt and debris floating around in the pool that can clog the pool filter. Since it removes the larger waste materials, it makes your filter more efficient and effective by reducing the chances of clogging.
- Automatic pool cleaners too use vacuuming technology for removing debris and dirt. You attach the machine to a suction port on the wall of the pool and the device automatically keeps moving the dirt in the water and sucking it out. The biggest advantage of the device is that it is automated so there isn't any fuss for the pool owner.
- Pump strainer basket catches all junk in the pool. This basket is used as an attachment to the pool pump. When water flows through the pump, the strainer basket catches all the debris and large waste material.
