Basic Haircut Directions
- 1). Put a towel around her neck so falling hair won't get on her.
- 2). Spray the ends of the hair with a bottle of water to dampen it.
- 3). Comb through the hair with a wide-tooth comb to ensure that it's tangle-free.
- 4). Decide how much length you are going to cut. If it's 1 inch, begin by cutting length from the bottom of the hair, but only cut one-half of an inch. This is to ensure that you don't accidentally cut off too much.
- 5). Step back a few feet after every snip you take to see your progress from a distance. Between every snip, also comb the hair straight again.
- 6). Continue cutting the ends of the hair. As you go, slowly snip off a little more at a time until the hair is the desired length.

- 3). Decide the highest clipper length guard that you need for his cut. This will determine his overall length.
- 4). Put the guard on the clippers and run it up the back of his hair. Move to the sides, and then finally the top.
- 5). Go over his head more than once to cut any missed hairs.
