How to Make a Tractor Bed for a Boy's Room
- 1). Transform a usual, wooden bed to the base of the car. Many tractors are red, so paint the base of your bed bright red.
- 2). Cover the legs of the bed with real wheels. You can either pick them up from a secondhand store or opt for toy wheels. Place the wheels in such a manner that all the four legs are camouflaged.
- 3). Now that the wheels are on, cover the area between the wheels with a wood panel. You can either fix the panel completely or install hinges on it so that it hangs like a flap, allowing you to store things inside. Paint the panels bright red, then paint bright stripes on them to make them attractive.
- 4). Now you can start on the front and rear areas of the car. Take wood panels and align them with the other panels in the front and rear ends. Fix them with nails. Ensure that the wooden panels cover the entire stretch between the two front wheels and back wheels. While working on the corners, you can use small pieces of woods and place them in an L shape to cover the edges. Decorate the front panel with headlights bought from a secondhand store or toy store so they look real. In addition, put rear lights at the end.
- 5). Use white paint to create the look of sport grill in the front.
- 6). Use thin wooden posts of 2- to 3-inch thickness near the head of the bed. Place them at a distance of about 6 feet and hoist a canopy on top.
- 7). To create extra drama you can use wooden panels near the sides of the frontal area and paint them to look like doors.
