  A native muskellunge stream, Middle Island Creek meanders through Middlebourne, West Virginia, and the surrounding area. Fishing for muskellunge, more commonly referred to as "musky," is very popular in this region. A portion of the stream near the Jug Wildlife Management Area is a designated catch and release zone, helping to ensure that the musky population remains sustainable.
