How to Clean Hockey Pants

45
    • 1). Fill a sink basin or washtub with two gallons of warm water.

    • 2). Add in a quarter cup of vinegar and a quarter cup of the laundry detergent of your choice--one with deodorizers and stain-fighting ingredients is ideal. The vinegar will help remove odors from the hockey pants.

    • 3). Put the hockey pants into the water and gently rub the material together, paying attention to any parts of the pants that are stained. Allow the hockey pants to soak for at least an hour--if they are especially dirty or stained, soak the pants up to eight hours.

    • 4). Remove the hockey pants from the water and rinse them well in cold water until all of the soap is removed. If needed, allow them to soak in a gallon of cold water for an hour.

    • 5). Wring the excess water from the hockey pants, put them on a hanger and allow them to air dry. They can be dried outside, but hanging them on a shower curtain rod works well, because the excess water can drip into the tub.
