How to Extract an iPhone SMS
- 1). Tap the "Messages" application icon on the iPhone's home screen.
- 2). Locate the SMS text message that you want to extract in the list of received messages.
- 3). Press the message to open it. If you've received only one message from the sender, press and hold the message until the iPhone highlights it in blue. Tap the "Copy" button that appears above the message to copy and extract the text of the selected SMS message. If you have received more than one message from the sender, all messages and your responses appear in a threaded "conversation" view. Scroll up until you locate the message that you want to extract. Press and hold the message until it turns blue, then tap the "Copy" button to copy the message text.
- 4). Tap the "Home" button under the iPhone screen to exit the Messages application. You can now paste the extracted text into an email message, calendar appointment or document by tapping the icon for the relevant application on your iPhone home screen. When you've opened the new document or entry in the app, press and hold the screen until the magnifying glass icon appears. Tap the "Paste" button to paste the extracted SMS text into the document.
