Have Printer CablesBecome Outmoded?

1
Have we brought the end of printer cables? Have they been relegated to obsolescence - piled to the ceiling in the computer junkyard? My initial gut instinct tells me it's doubtful however it certainly would seem that hour is arriving.
The creation of cable-free printers combined with the rapid technological advance of cable-less devices for legacy printers seems to presage the end of printer cables.
I've felt it's a frustrating experience installing printer cables.
They're known to be too short, too hard to work with, and just too darn bulky.
When the ultimo old style printer rolls off the production line you will be fairly certain I won't be shedding a tear.
Some printer devices are truly free of cables these days.
Cable-less printers come from every major manufacturer now from the premium end of the product line all the way through to the throw away units I've been picking up forever.
Security Matters I'm not the most nostalgic person on the globe, but I believe I'm can stick to my troublesome, bulky, annoying printer cables for just a little longer.
Many of us oldsters still aren't comfortable sending our personal information into the air where hackers with enough creativity or genius can decipher what we've said.
I suppose it's naive of me to surmise that a con with the similar tricks and or motivations would be able to view what I'm typing right now but it just seems different when it's probable that the man or woman examining your private information is your neighbor or co-worker.
Maybe there is justification to hold onto our cables just a little longer.
They're finicky, frustrating, pains in the butt, yes.
However your printer cables may be the only bit of insulation we have.
Yes anyone with top skills can snoop on our PCs and view what we're printing, but there's nothing less savory than exposing your sordid little secrets to the suburbs is there? Maybe I can hold off a little longer to purchase a cable-free printer.
Maybe I will get some more production out of my bulky almost obsolete printer cables.
