So, it's been four years and you want to renew your Cosmo License? Hi, I'm Sarah. I'm a Licensed Cosmetologist in Florida, and I'm going to explain the guidelines for you of getting your license renewed again. If your license expired before September 1st of 2005, you have five years to renew it without it being canceled. You must pay the current license fee as well as a late fee of $53 per each term that it's been expired. If you have waited longer than five years, then your license is canceled and you must take the written and practical exam once again. If you were expired after September 1st of 2005, then you only have one year to renew it. If it's been longer than one year, you must take the written and practical exam once again.
