About Sylar: Sylar is a serial killer who is going around the country and murdering other specials like him and the other heroes. He was a clock and watch repairer who had the uncanny ability to know what was wrong with any mechanical device.

Chandra Suresh thought that Sylar, Gabriel at the time, was one of the specials, but couldn't find any special ability within him.

This made Gabriel angry and jealous of the others and sought out Brian Davis, who had minor telekinetic powers. It appeared that Gabriel's true ability was in finding out what was wrong with something, either mechanical or biological. Gabriel killed Davis, and somehow absorbed his power. This seemed to be the thing that put Gabriel over the edge and turned him into the homicidal Sylar.

Powers: As Sylar, he has apparently absorbed the powers of any special person whom he has killed, making him near unstoppable. According to the doctors that Mr. Bennet has in his employ, Sylar only seems to be using his telekinesis.

Status: Sylar is imprisoned by Mr. Bennet and being tested on with the drugs used to help manifest specials super abilities.
