Alaska Casinos
Of the 50 states of the USA, only two restrict all types of gambling: Hawaii and Utah. Forty-two states have what are considered traditional casinos, with slots and table games. Alaska, doesn't offer standard casinos,or a lottery. There are no horse race tracks, and no games of chance are allowed. Even the game of poker is illegal, unless it is social gaming, and no rake or house-profit is obtained.
Alaska is one of the most beautiful places in the world, but much of the countryside is found in a pure, natural state. So, while tourism is big business in the wilds of Alaska, most visitors first thoughts after arriving aren't "Gee, where's the casino." However, that doesn't mean that the occasional tourist and some locals too, don't want to play some pull tabs in a tavern, or play a little poker. To that affect, some Native American gaming does exist, but you'll travel a long, hard road between stops. Don't expect a hotel and restaurants to be attached to the gaming.
