How to Replace a Lost Boat License in New Jersey
- 1). Open a Word program and create a new document. Enter your name and address as it appeared on your boating certification, your phone number with area code, your email address, your boating certification number (if known), and include a short note informing the bureau that you lost the original card. Save the document.
- 2). Scan a copy of your driver's license and save the file as a .jpg or .bmp document.
- 3). Attach the Word document and scanned copy of ID in an email. Enter "Request for replacement boating safety certification" as the subject of the email. Inside the body of the email enter: "Request for replacement boating safety certification. Contact information and documents attached." Email the files to lpprobbj@gw.njsp.org.
- 4). Fax the documents to 609-882-8110 as an alternative.
- 5). Write the bureau directly as a third option. Mail the documents to:

West Trenton, NJ 08628-0068 - 6). Wait for the replacement license to arrive by mail in a few weeks.
