Don?t Confuse Nicollette Sheridan?s Onscreen Wardrobe with Her Personal Style: Given a choice of outfits to wear, Sheridan would opt for jeans, a T-shirt and some tennis shoes. ?I always do feel a little uncomfortable when the onus is on having to look good and be sexy,? explained Sheridan. ?I'm actually more comfortable playing the stroke victim or the girl with no makeup on, looking scruffy and it's all about what's going on inside rather than on the outside.

But I'm making friends with it. At times it's embarrassing being in some outfits that I might personally never be caught dead in, but they serve Edie on Housewives. It was nice actually wearing pants and a proper shirt as Diane in The Cleaner.?

And Speaking of Desperate Housewives?: The show?s definitely returned to its first year form, thanks in part to Marc Cherry?s involvement. Sheridan said, ?Marc Cherry never left, but he's extremely hands-on this year and getting back to what made it work the first season, which to me was the aspect of how politically incorrect it was and how it was just pushing boundaries and the bizarre situations. The situations that people think they would behave a certain way in, but if they did they would probably get arrested. So it's back on track and I think that there is a new energy from everyone. There are new writers and everyone is just inspired again.?

Edie Got the Guy and Dumped Him on Her Terms This Season: But will things continue in that vein for the remainder of this season?

?Don't worry. Yes, I think that when someone goes into a coma they do tend to come out of it and be quite agitated, and I don't think that the plumber ended up being what Edie had signed up for. So, that coupled with him being arrested, which just threw her right back into the mother-daughter relationship that she had because her mother was an alcoholic and ended up in jail, and I think that sitting in that jail cell with him was too much for her to handle. She panicked and basically ended it on the spot due to the fear of reliving moments and feelings and loss of love in her childhood.?

Sheridan says the actors are allowed to offer ideas and suggestions as to how their characters develop throughout the series. ?We all have ideas and Marc Cherry is amazing in that way. You can walk into his office and say, 'This isn't quite working. I don't think that we're being true to the character by making that choice. How would you feel about x, y, or z?' He will listen and he will love some of it. He will argue his thoughts on other parts of it, and I suppose that the answer to your question is yes. There is input that is heard.?

Even though the actors only receive their scripts the night before they start shooting that episode, Sheridan says that by paying attention to where a storyline is leading, there?s enough time to talk to Cherry about any concerns. ?Like, if you're seeing something that doesn't resonate I will call him. He always takes my call and says, 'I know if you're calling there is something that I should be looking at.' So that's nice.?

And Yes, the Women of Desperate Housewives All Get Along: ?Of course. If it was a group of men doing this, we wouldn't be hearing any of this business. Everyone is a very distinct character in their own right and playing very definitive roles in this crazy show that we do. Everyone is really grateful and thankful to be there, and we just have a great time.?
