Deal Or No Deal and Network Marketing
Deal or No Deal is a popular program in which people can become instant millionaires.
I enjoy watching it, partly to see the excitement of the contestants, and also for the positive energy host Howie Mandel brings to the program.
People are on the show to see if they can strike it rich.
It's a game strictly of luck and chance.
Howie usually asks the contestants what they would do if they won the million dollars.
Many of them have worthy things they would use it for.
It's interesting to note that few of the contestants seem to have a strategy or a goal of accepting a deal when it gets to a certain amount.
On the contrary,, many of them continue to turn down deals no matter how large they get, all in the hope of winning the grand prize.
I have seen people turn down deals of over $200,000, which is more than most people earn on a job in two years.
The dream is to walk away with a million dollars, which has not happened on the show to date yet.
So what does this have to do with network marketing? Network marketers also have a dream.
The difference is networkers know there is time and effort involved, and often a steep learning curve.
Those marketers who are determined enough will do whatever it takes to achieve their goals, and not just leave it to chance.
Successful marketers also have goals and a strategy for how they are going to achieve them.
They have both short term and long term goals.
In most cases it takes at least a year if not more to achieve a significant income, unlike the instant gratification of winning money on a game show.
However, in addition to the financial security network marketing can bring to people, there also is the personal satisfaction of realizing one's goals and dreams and taking responsibility for their financial future.
So people on a game show have a dream, just as network marketers do.
However marketers who are successful have dreams that are so big they think about them every day, and don't let anything stop them from accomplishing what they want to have.
