BMW 735i Troubleshooting
- 1). Find the OBDII diagnostic port in the BMW. It will be located toward the top of the driver's-side foot area, toward the steering column.
- 2). Plug in the code scanner at the middle of the diagnostic port. Turn on the vehicle's engine. Let the engine idle for two minutes.
- 3). Scan for error codes in the BMW. Make notes of the codes that are displayed on the scanner. Once each code is decoded, you will know exactly what will need replacing in the vehicle. Take the error code to an auto part store, or BMW dealership.
