How to Install an Internal Modem Without a Disk on Windows XP
- 1). Find the model number of your modem. If you have any of the packaging or paper from when you purchased the card, you might be able to find out the model number from that. If not, you will have to open the side of the computer to take a look at the modem and find the model number there.
- 2). Navigate to the modem card's manufacturer's website. Usually the support or driver page will feature a search box or drop down list to help you select your specific model.
- 3). Download and install the driver. You will have to restart the computer after installation before you can use the modem.
