It"s Love and Death on Young and Restless With the Passing of the Storm
Is Cane (Daniel Goddard) right and Hilary (Mishael Morgan) is really in love with Devon (Bryton James)? Or is Neil (Kristoff St. John) right, and Hilary was just playing them all for fools to get back at Neil, who she feels was responsible for her mother's death? When Cane suggests the idea to Neil, he says if she is taking the blame on herself, it is to no end, because he is still not going to forgive Devon.
But since Cane has a bit of distance from the love triangle, it would seem he is the more objective of the two.
Of course, the fact that Neil is drinking again means that Lily (Christel Khalil) might never forgive Devon and Hilary, no matter what. But Lily has shown over the past year that she is quick to anger and not one to forgive easily, so her brother is in for a long spell of her wrath.
Now that the Devon/Hilary affair has been revealed, the real mystery in Genoa City is who moved Austin's (Matthew Atkinson) body. There was the red herring for a minute when it seemed that Austin could still be alive, but then, it turned out that the young man in the ravine was Kyle (Lachlan Buchanan).
Now that it has been confirmed by the Genoa City Police Department that Austin is dead, other than Kyle, who could have moved the body and arranged for it to look like a car accident? Kyle seems the likely suspect, but the fact that Austin turned out not to be the man we thought he was -- he was cheating on Summer (Hunter King) with Abby (Melissa Ordway) -- opens the door to the possibilities that he actually had enemies.
And the mention at the hospital that he had no family, raised the question of whether or not that was true. Maybe he was on the run from more than his mother's death when he came to Genoa City.
So just what are Victor (Eric Braeden) and Jack (Peter Bergman) up to now that they have agreed to work together to reveal the truth about the Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) -- Kelly (Cady McClain) quarrel? Can those two, who have been rivals for more than 20 years, really be allies? Ashley (Eileen Davidson) doesn't think so. But Jack reassures her, saying, "Let's just say we are not enemies."
Obviously, Phyllis thinks Victor is on her side because of the reassurances he has given her. But so does Kelly. Of course, Kelly is not so sure about the deal they made when she says, "You call the shots and I do what you say? Is that it" And Victor, being Victor, says, "Yes."
But Kelly isn't the only one who wants to put Phyllis in her place. Christine (Lauralee Bell) is out for justice -- or is it vengeance for past wrongs? When the two women run into each other at Crimson Lights, Christine promises, "You smug narcissistic bitch. I'm going to make you pay for every vicious thing you've ever done!"
