How to Remove Mold From Curtains and Tents
- 1). Make a mold-killing mixture of 0.5 oz. of bleach and 1 qt. of water, and pour it into a spray bottle. If you are worried about bleaching out the color of the curtain or tent fabric, substitute pure white vinegar instead.
- 2). Spray the moldy part of the curtain with the mold-killer. Let it stand on the mold for roughly 5 minutes.
- 3). Rub off the mold, and rinse the fabric using an old rag and a small pail of water.
- 4). Make sure the tent or curtain stands in a well-ventilated area with good exposure to sunlight to dry.
- 1). Make a mold-killing solution in a wash tub, using 1/4 cup bleach for every gallon of water.
- 2). Dunk the curtain or entire tent into the tub. Keep it immersed in the tub for 15 to 20 minutes.
- 3). Pull the tent or curtain from the tub, give it a cursory wringing to get some of the fluid out and pin it to a clothesline.
- 4). Rinse the fabric with a hose. Take it down from the clothesline, give it a thorough ringing and let it dry in the sun.
