HP Photosmart 6510 Overview
We have written a Review for the HP Photosmart 6510 Printer and have put together an overview below for you to read. Features Overview
The Photosmart 6510 has a prominent touch screen display panel which gives you access to all the printing options available without need to use a computer. The screen itself comes in at just under 9cm and features 3 buttons on either side which you use to guide you through the different steps such as moving back a menu or selecting help with an option or cancelling a job all together. We found the screen to be pretty responsive but it does have a few issues from time to time with strange error messages popping up.hp photosmart 6510 touchscreen
The Photosmart 6510 is of course fully wireless so you don't need to use any messy usb cables if you don't want to. (but it does have a usb connection if you wish to plug one in) The printer works wirelessly by sending and receiving data through your router or home hub. Setting this up is easier then you think with HP's Auto Wireless Connection feature which will find your router and setup up all of the settings for you, you only need to key in your security key and your off.
The HP Photosmart 6510 uses the HP 364 ink cartridge range. These are available in separate colours, a larger black and 3 smaller cartridges, Cyan, Magenta and Yellow. These are great for everyday use but if you find you are using the printer a fair bit then you may want to consider upgrading to the XL cartridges which offer up to 2.5 times the amount of ink. Of course all of these cartridges as well as our replacement range of HP 364s can be purchased through our HP 364 ink cartridge Page.
The quality of the photos was impressive and certainly stands up with some of the higher priced models on the market. This is something you come to expect from Hewlett Packard printers.
