    • 1). Open your system preferences pane to access all of the operating system settings. Click the "Apple" icon in the top left corner of the screen and select "System preferences."

    • 2). Set up and manage your "Spaces." "Spaces" is a new technology unique to Leopard that allows you assign applications to a specific space in the operating system. Click the "Expose and Spaces" icon and select the "Spaces" tab. This will launch the "Spaces" interface. From this screen, you can enable spaces, assign applications, and change keyboard shortcuts. To assign applications, click the "Plus" icon and select an application to assign to a specific space.

    • 3). Set up and manage "Expose." This is a function unique to Leopard that allows you to create hot corners on your screen. You can assign different functions when dragging your mouse to each of the four corners of the screen. Click "Expose and Spaces" icon and select the "Expose" tab. From this window, you can activate functions for each corner by clicking the drop-down menus next to each corner.

    • 4). Manage "Stacks." "Stacks" is a function that is unique to the Leopard operating system that allows you to place stacks of files or folders in your dock. Right-click "Documents" on the right side of your dock and select how you would the stack of files displayed. You can view the content as a fan, grid, or list.

    • 5). Manage other operating system functions from the "System Preferences" menu. From this menu, you can manage other appearance settings, hardware settings, Internet setting, and system settings.
