How to Fix Drivers on Another Computer Without the Internet
- 1). Insert the driver CD into the computer.
- 2). Click "Start," "Control Panel," and "Device Manager." Click the "System and Maintenance" (for Vista) or the "Hardware and Sound" (for Windows 7) menu prior to clicking "Device Manager" if you are not using the "Classic" view for your Control Panel.
- 3). Select the category for the hardware driver you are repairing. For example, select "Display Adapters" if you are fixing the video card driver.
- 4). Double click on the device that needs the driver to be repaired.
- 5). Click "Driver" and select "Update Driver." Select the letter of the optical drive to reinstall the driver, overwriting and repairing the faulty driver.
