Panamax M5400-PM - Rear View - AC Connections

22
Shown in this photo are the AC outlets provided on the Panamax M5400-PM rear panel.
Starting on the left, are the two High Current power outlets (designated as Outlet Bank 5). These are designed to be using with components that pull in lots of current and output high wattage, such as amplifiers, home theater receivers, and powered subwoofers. For added benefit, these outlets are electrically isolated from the rest of the outlets shown to avoid current fluctuations and noise interference when turned on/off or are in use.

Moving to the right of the High Current outlets are the Switched Outlets (designated as Outlet Banks 4 and 3). These banks of outlets are only active when the front panel power switch is turned on.

Finally on the right side of this photo are the Unswitched AC Outlets (designated as Outlet Banks 2 and 1), which are always active unless there is fault condition, such as excessive under or over voltage in the power line. Also, just to the right of these outlets is a small indicator light that shows whether these outlets are active.

It is important to note that all the rear panel outlets, except the high current outlets in Bank 5 are voltage regulated.
