How to Add Sequins & Beading to High-Heel Shoes
- 1). Organize all beads and sequins by placing different colors and sizes into small plastic cups. Plug in the hot glue gun to warm it up.
- 2). Brush off the high heels using a soft cloth to remove any dust or dirt.
- 3). Place a drop of glue on the back of a bead or sequin. Use a strip of glue for sequin trim, which is a series of sequins already attached to a piece of backing and suitable for straight lines, such as the top side of a high heel. Use a toothpick to remove excess glue so only a small amount is on the back of the bead of sequin. Use tweezers to attach the bead or sequin to the fabric or leather portion of the shoe.
- 4). Attach beads and sequins to the shoe in the desired pattern. Continue adding all embellishments until you have attached all sequins and beads. Allow it to dry for 24 hours before wearing.
