Making a Business Sale Out of Your Normal Video Projects

In my video business career, I am so blessed to have yearly production contracts with the local chamber of commerce.
These are two of their major award events.
On those two occasions, I make every finalist a brief video that will be seen by approximately one thousand people.
I get amazing publicity in this event.
Another great thing about this is the big possibility of spending some time with each finalist company.
During this project, I get the chance to have more interaction with my client because they are directly involved with what I'm about to shoot.
Because they feel honored and enthusiastic about being a finalist, they are always willing to provide me everything I need to shoot for the awarding ceremony.
This includes getting total business accessibility.
This situation lets me have a decent conversation with their corporate executives.
During our conversation, I ask them about their marketing, training and other necessities and what I can do to help them.
I take advantage of that situation where I can talk about my business and their needs at the same time.
It may initially sound like a casual conversation but will eventually lead to something more productive.
I usually get 7 production projects with these finalists and I leave with at least three business proposals after the awards event.
This is all because of the meeting I had with them earlier.
This type of community will give you the chance to meet several people.
Use it to speak with them and know their thoughts about getting any production services.
You will eventually lead to closing deals with some of them.
Don't only focus on shooting the event.
Promote your business too.
After the event, give every finalist a phone call and inform them that you are offering a DVD of their own video for just $100 to $150.
They will usually agree with your terms and accept your offer.
You can also include another video file that costs $100.
This is what they will use in their websites and social media pages.
It might have been unimaginable for you to make more profit out of this normal awards event.
You just have to know how to creatively promote your production company and use every chance you get to your advantage.
With this in mind, you can keep on getting additional sales as well as gaining a lot of publicity for your video business.
