How to Line Satin Fabric
- 1). Sew your satin garment, except for the hems on the borders of the garment.
- 2). Cut the lining fabric for the satin ¾ of an inch smaller than the garment. This may take some time as you may need to lay the lining fabric up against the satin and measure accordingly all the way around the garment.
- 3). Thread the sewing machine with a similar colored or matching thread. Set the thread on the bobbin.
- 4). Fold the edges of the garment down as well as the the edges of the lining fabric and sew together on the inside of the seam.
