Guide Review - Beyond the Pale by Elana Dykewomon
This is a beautifully written story. Two young women, Russian Jews, immigrate to America at the turn of the century. They leave behind hardships and prosecution, only to find it of a different variety in the New World. This is one of my all-time favorite books. I did not want the story to end. It has won numerous awards, including the Lambda Literary Award.
