Anxiety and Depression Treatments - Another Look

29
Anxiety and Depression Treatments are a comprehensive process.
In most cases, Anxiety and Depression are two sides of the same coin and come in pairs.
One doesn't usually experience Anxiety without some form of Depression and vice versa.
That can actually be a good thing; if anything about Anxiety and Depression can be considered good! When getting involved with any sort of treatment, that means you can deal with both things at one time.
That's the objective at least.
Anxiety can be dealt with quite effectively by maintaining the breath.
When in a state of anxiety we begin to hyperventilate.
A rapid heart beat and shallow breathing cause some to focus on "what's wrong with me" and only causes the symptoms to increase.
To combat this, taking control of the breath on purpose will empower one to be in charge of the situation.
Breathing in slowly and out slowly forces the mind to calm, calming the thoughts of anxiety down, and slowing down the heart beat.
The feeling of panic starts to subside and the Anxious state goes away.
Depression on the other hand is a sluggish and low-energy state.
In order to help alleviate this and energize the mind/body connection we've got to get ourselves active.
Exercising, socializing and listening to high-energy music are great ways to help overcome a depressed state.
Giving into the state and laying down only empowers the Depression and works against you.
This can be a challenge, but it is something you can condition yourself to do in order to move forward with your life.
It may seem difficult, but it is attainable!
