How to Get a Date in College
- 1). Build your confidence. Flirt with single friends and get comfortable in your own skin before you start putting yourself out there. By letting loose with those close to you, you can experiment a bit with icebreakers and what is acceptable or unacceptable.
- 2). Be vocal. Speak up in class to make your presence known. Get involved in campus activities and plan events to get yourself out there. Consider joining school clubs to meet new people. The more you speak out and bring attention to yourself, the more appealing you will be to potential dating partners. Being vocal is a sign of confidence -- which many people consider an attractive trait.
- 3). Find people with similar interests. Chances are, many of the people with similar classes to yours have a similar major. Use that to your advantage to strike up a conversation about your majors, plans, or just make small talk about a project.
- 4). Frequent lounges on campus and hit up a few campus parties. Even if you are not a party animal, showing your face around campus can only help you find a date. Instead of studying in your room, head to the library to meet some new people. You will not meet people sitting alone in your dorm. Visit your school's game room and ask a stranger to a game of foosball or table tennis to get the conversation rolling.
- 5). Visit local bars and hot spots. By venturing outside of campus for dinner and to bars and clubs around town, you can widen your scope to people outside of your school. Stepping off campus once in a while will give you the opportunity to meet locals and folks from surrounding schools.
