How to Disable the Address Bar in a Pop-up
- 1). Press the "Windows" and "R" keys simultaneously. This opens a Run box on the bottom of your screen.
- 2). Type "Inetcpl.cpl" in the Run box, and then click the "OK" button. This loads the "Internet Properties" window.
- 3). Click the "Security" tab. This displays four security zone icons. Click the "Trusted Sites" icon. This highlights the icon.
- 4). Click the "Sites" button. Type in the website address of the site you want to remove the address bar from in the "Add this website to this zone" box. Click the "Add" button and then click "Close." This brings you back to the Zone settings.
- 5). Click the "Custom level" button. This displays a list of all the advanced security settings for the sites that are in your Trusted Sites Zone.
- 6). Scroll down to the setting called "Allow websites to open windows without address or status bars" and click "Enable." Press the "OK" button to confirm these changes.
