Directions for Charcoal Starter Cans
- 1). Roll up the paper and place in the bottom section of the starter can. Make sure the roll is loose enough for ample air to enter.
- 2). Turn the starter can over and fill with charcoal briquettes. Place the starter on a fire-proof surface.
- 3). Light the newspaper on the bottom of the starter can. Smoke will begin to billow out of the starter can.
- 4). Allow the charcoal to burn for 15 minutes or until the coals are a glowing red-orange color.
- 5). Pour the hot coals into the grill using the handle or heat-resistant gloves.
