How to Remove a Rear Hydraulic Brake Line on a Ford Truck
- 1). Crawl underneath the rear of the truck and locate the rear brake line. Use a line wrench to disconnect the soft brake hose leading from the frame to the mounting block on the axle.
- 2). Remove the brake line connections on the rear of the brake drums, using a line wrench. Turn the wrench counterclockwise to break them free, although it may take some extra effort if there is a lot of corrosion.
- 3). Unbolt the brake line from the rear axle using the 3/8-inch ratchet and socket. Lift the brake line out and away from the vehicle.
