How to Mount a Scope on a Weaver Base
- 1). Attach the scope rings with the Allen wrench, but do not tighten the screws all the way (the scope should be able to move).
- 2). Unscrew the mounting screws at the base of the rings and widen the mounting bracket. Align the mounting screws with the slots cutting across the base and tighten (securing the mounting bracket on both sides of the base).
- 3). Adjust the scope (along the length of the rifle) so that you have sufficient eye relief and a clear scope image. Rotate the scope so the reticles appear straight up and straight across when viewed.
- 4). Once your scope is positioned, tighten the rear set of screws and re-check the scope position. If necessary, loosen the screws and adjust the scope.
- 5). Tighten the remaining screws. Your scope is now mounted.
