Container Cats Picture Gallery 2: Rainy
I had told my vet that I was looking for a kitten. That same day his assistant called me and told me the vet's son had found a stray kitten wandering alone in a rainstorm, and asked me if I'd like to see it. When I got there, the vet's assistant came out with skinny, dirty kitten with huge green eyes and set him on the counter. He came directly to me and claimed me as his own. After shots and necessary tests, "Rainy" was ours.
In no time our wonderful kitty started exhibiting signs that he was no ordinary stray. I'd seen photos of Maine Coon cats and Rainy looked exactly like them. After doing some reading, I found out that certain characteristics, such as what I call his "purr-meow," were indicative of the breed. He's now approximately 6 months old, healthy, happy and beautiful--and weighs 8 lbs. It's exciting to watch him grow, it's as if he wakes up from each nap bigger and furrier than before! What fun! I used to dislike rainy days, now I see them as lucky days!
