Santa Body

• 1). Print a Santa template online, find one in a craft book or draw by hand.
  
  
• 2). Cut around the printed template to remove excess paper and reveal the outline of Santa.
  
  
• 3). Lay the Santa template over the red felt.
  
  
• 4). Cut the red felt around the template.
  
  
• 5). Trim the felt as needed to get the desired Santa shape.
  
  

Santa's Belt, Eyes and Beard

• 1). Cut out a small strip of black felt to make Santa's belt and trim as needed keeping in mind that it should be exactly as wide as Santa's stomach.
  
  
• 2). Put a strip of glue on one side of the belt and place onto Santa's stomach. Quickly adjust before the glue dries so the belt is in the correct spot on Santa's stomach.
  
  
• 3). Use the hole puncher to cut two circles out of the black felt to make Santa's eyes. Put one dot of glue on one side of each eye and place onto Santa's face, adjusting quickly as needed.
  
  
• 4). Cut out a triangle of white felt for Santa's beard and trim as needed, adding shape to the beard, if desired.
  
  
• 5). Put a few dots of glue on one side of the beard and place onto Santa's face, adjusting quickly as needed.
  
  

Santa's Hat Details

• 1). Cut out a small strip of white felt to make the trim for Santa's hat and put a strip of glue on one side of the felt strip.
  
  
• 2). Place onto the bottom of Santa's hat and adjust as needed.
  
  
• 3). Use the hole puncher to cut one circle out of the white felt to make the pompom for Santa's hat.
  
  
• 4). Add one dot of glue to one side and place on Santa's hat, adjusting as needed.
  
  
• 5). Trim any additional bits of felt hanging off of hat, if needed.
  
  

Optional Finishing Touches

• 1). Glue a piece of string, twine, or yarn to the back of your felt Santa's head to make a tree ornament.
  
  
• 2). Glue a craft stick to your felt Santa's back to make a doll or puppet.
  
  
• 3). For a multiple Santa garland, use a hole puncher to make a hole in the head of each felt Santa. String the Santas together with twine, yarn or any string you have around the house.
  
  
• 4). Glue your felt Santa onto a Christmas card to personalize it.
  
  
• 5). Glue your felt Santa onto a fridge magnet to create a Christmas decoration for your refrigerator.
