Summer is coming up, and with that, it's time to prepare for a whole heaping amount fun for you and your child.
With the ever growing industry of video games it's no wonder why our kids stay inside more and more during the summer, but there are some constructive ways to get them outside and have them enjoying it! Summer outdoor activities are a must! Check in your local community newspaper or website about the activities that are available where you live at.
There should be enough of a variety of activities that any kid would enjoy.
I put my kiddo in a nature art class.
They went around the woods drawing and sketching the different leaves/trees/bugs they found, learning about each one while practicing their drawing skills.
This grows your child educationally as well as mentally.
Activities, such as this one shouldn't be hard to find, and is part of any good well balanced summer.
Sports! Everyone loves sports.
Get you kid involved in any sport that is moderately physically demanding.
Soccer is a great choice.
Having a kid with pent-up energy can lead to restless nights, as well as damaged houses (as some of you may already know).
Regular exercise defiantly burns off some of their energy.
Playing in an organized sport instills some core team playing fundamentals that will be extremely useful later on in life.
You can also attend their games, having fun with the other parents as well.
It's a win-win situation! Sometimes, just good ol' fun in the backyard with a few of your kids' friends can be a blast.
I always liked the Slip N' Slide growing up, and to this day, it's a fun and popular kids toy.
You could even make a BBQ out of the whole event for your friends and neighbors.
