Cholestrex Review
Cholestrex is said to be a Bio-Aligned Formula that "supports healthy cholesterol levels." It is manufactured by Source Naturals, a supplement maker that promotes a host of other formulas. The company claims that Cholestrex is a "nutrient and fiber complex" that "helps maintain cholesterol levels already in the normal range." We like the inclusion of the Phytosterol Complex in the formula. However, the supplement is not said to lower abnormal LDL levels.

It is to be noted that at the time of this review, Source Naturals promotes over half a dozen supplements for cholesterol support alone. We believe that a responsible manufacturer will actually try to promote a single, effective formula as opposed to dabbling in different products. Therefore, in this review, we will look at the formula in some detail and conclude whether we may do better by trusting in some better products.
As per the official Source Naturals website, Cholestrex is said to supply 100 mg of Beta-Sitosterol from Phytosterol Complex. We like Beta-Sitosterol and other Plant Sterols, although we believe a little more would probably have been even better. However, we find it disconcerting that the formula contains other ingredients as well. Furthermore, research seems to suggest that we may need to take significantly more Plant Sterols than what is included in Cholestrex in order to meaningfully achieve desired results.
Some of the other ingredients included are as follows: Vitamins C, E, Niacin, Calcium, Chromium, Copper, Zinc, Oats, Grapefruit Pectin, Psyllium Seed Husk, Lecithin, Alfalfa Seed and L-Arginine. Actually, we like some of these ingredients, especially the vitamins and minerals. However, they may be found in ample amounts in just about any multivitamin supplements.
As mentioned above, there seems to be no exclusive website for Cholestrex at the time of this review. Source Naturals has an official website; this website lists Cholestrex and discloses the ingredients. However, as of review, the website only devotes one webpage for the product among numerous other products. Furthermore, detailed information may not be available, as are testimonials. Most importantly, we could not locate online buying features on the website. We always like it better to buy directly from the manufacturer, since it usually eliminates the middleman.
