Free Firewood Shed Designs – Are They Really Worth It?
Will free firewood shed designs really be the answer for your firewood storage problems? Are you still frustrated with trying to figure out the best way to store your wood that is convenient and useful?
I know how you feel because I felt the same way and thought I had found my solution. Like everyone else these days I go to the internet when I want information.
So I decided to see if I could find some free plans for some storage for my firewood. Why not save a buck if I can, right?
I am sure you already know that the purpose of having a good set of designs for your project is important. This is going to be your road map and directions to help you end up with a finished project that is what you need and follows your local building codes.
Not only will you want to have drawings that are easy for you to follow, but you will also want a materials list and directions on how to cut your wood. This can actually be a money saver since it will help you to keep from buying more wood and other materials than you need.
Then the directions on how to cut your wood will keep you from having a bunch of left over odd pieces that will just end up in the trash. Then again you could just throw them in the next fire you get going.
Anyway let’s get back to my story. After finding what I figured was a good site that offered me what I was looking for I downloaded the designs to my computer and printed them off. Now what I got and what I thought I would get sure did not match up.
I assumed the free plans would give me everything I needed to know so far as which materials I would need and basically act as a map to guide me in building my firewood shed. Well let’s just say I got what I paid for and in this case free was not the way to go.
You know I was upset because I was not able to start on my project before the bad weather set in. Now my firewood shed will just have to wait until next spring to be built and I will still be digging through the firewood stack tying to find some good dry wood for my fires.
