How to Create a Bootable USB Drive on Ubuntu 9
- 1). Download the latest Ubuntu .ISO disc image file to your computer's hard drive by visiting the Ubuntu home page (see Resources) and clicking "Download Ubuntu." Click "Begin Download" on the next page.
- 2). Plug your USB drive into a USB port on your computer.
- 3). Click on the "System" menu.
- 4). Click on "Administration."
- 5). Click on "USB Startup Disk Creator."
- 6). Click on the "Other..." button in the "USB Startup Disk Creator" program window. Select the Ubuntu 9 .ISO file you downloaded to your computer's hard drive.
- 7). Select your USB drive under the "Disk to Use" category.
- 8). Click on "Make Startup Disk." This will turn your USB drive into a bootable Ubuntu 9 disk.
