What Does Physiologic Mean?
- "Physiologic" refers to how the body, an organ or tissue behaves in its normal state without any pathologic interference. A pathologic interference would be an illness.
- Depending on the type of pathology, exercise, a doctor's visit, medicine or even surgery can return the body back to its physiologic state.
- A body that is not in its physiologic state would be one with a broken leg, for example, because the leg is not functioning as normal. It is not able to bend and move freely because of the cast.
