How to Make Carnival Style Funnel Cakes
- 1). Heat oil in a deep-fryer, or heavy skillet, at 375 degrees F.
- 2). Combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt. Beat milk and eggs together then pour into dry mixture until all the ingredients are thoroughly mixed and smooth.
- 3). Place dough in a piping bag fitted with a number 12 tip.
- 4). Pipe dough into the oil to form a cake with a 6-inch diameter. Make a lattice pattern and cook until browned. Flip once.
- 5). Once browned, remove the cakes from oil and place on paper towels. Top cakes with powdered sugar and continue piping batter until all of the dough is used.
