Heroes - Upon This Rock - Episode 13 Review
"Upon This Rock" is an episode that showcases why NBC's Heroes is a hit program.

This episode offers all of these elements, making it hard not to watch Heroes.
Unsurprisingly untrustworthy, Samuel tells Claire that she can leave the carnival whenever she wants.
Almost immediately, he tells Eli otherwise.
From this point on, Eli stalks Claire throughout the carnival.
Claire's creepy feelings about Eli escalate into a mini brawl.
She wins only to soon lose to Doyle's puppet powers as he catches her snooping in Samuel's trailer.
She pleads her innocent intentions, and Doyle lets her go to talk to Lydia.
Lydia tells Claire that Samuel wasn't always in charge, but Joseph was.
After talking to Lydia, Claire has seen and heard enough to convince her that Samuel killed Joseph.
Emma gets rejected from med school.
Enter Samuel.
He fakes compassion to convince her to help him find a gifted man, Ian Michaels, rumored to live in Central Park.
At the park, Samuel teaches Emma to use her musical powers like a lasso.
She draws Ian to them.
Samuel admits to killing Joseph.
In a great attempt to look like a good guy, he gives Claire an illustration of their new home (vegetation courtesy of Ian).
Hiro's sci-fi/ comic book babbling and heroic antics land him in cuffs until the cops take him to Ando.
Ando manages to make sense of Hiro's nonsense and discovers Hiro wants to go to Florida.
