About Ray Boltz
- Ray Boltz was born in 1953. He grew up in Muncie, Indiana, which is in the eastern part of the state.
- Watch the Lamb was Boltz's first album, which debuted in 1986 and made him an instant hit in the contemporary Christian genre. It was an album produced by Steve Milikan.
- With the release of his 2008 single "Don't Tell Me Who to Love," Boltz came out as a gay man in an interview with the "Washington Blade." Since then, he has been a popular figure in the gay community, especially among Christians.
- The 1990 song "Thank You" received the Dove award for Song of the Year. "I Pledge Allegiance to the Lamb" won the Inspiration Award four years later.
- Today, Boltz is continuing to make music and tour. He regularly performs at gay-affirming Metropolitan Community Church locations.
