The Easy Way to Grow Mushrooms
- 1). Fill your growing tray with the compost. Add water to the compost until it is moist and crumbles when touched.
- 2). Add spores to the compost. Push down the compost with so it becomes flat.
- 3). Keep growing tray in a place where the temperature remains between 65 and 70 degrees F, misting it two times per day with water.
- 4). Continue for two to three weeks until a white webbing appears on the surface of the compost.
- 5). Add peat moss over the emerging mushrooms. Damped the peat with water.
- 6). Cover peat with newspaper and damped with water. Allow to sit for 10 days, misting the newspaper to keep it moist.
- 7). Remove the newspaper. Mushrooms will begin to grow in a few days. Harvest when they reach the desired size.
