To the Manning Born - One Life To Life Recap for Wednesday, October 14, 2009
A surprised Jessica opens the door of Llanfair to Delphina. The psychic asks why the blonde called her number and hung up. Jess is freaking as how the woman knew. “Caller ID,” her visitor retorts. Jessica is angry that she was made to believe that Nash’s spirit contacted her when it was instead a stalker after her! The psychic claims Brennan was trying to get a message to her. Brody joins the duo and accuses her of being a fraud. She responds that she’s helped the police solve 247 cases and asks about his record after 30 days and 1 hour. Then she makes a comment about his sister Nadine.
At Rodi’s, Schuyler figures out that Stacy and Kim set him up to make Gigi jealous. He doesn’t want to be any part of a breakup between Marasco and Balsom. The girls don’t take no for an answer and keep prodding him about his feelings for Gigi. He points out that even if Gigi had feelings for him, Rex would never have them for Stacy after all she’s done.
In the alley of Rodi’s Rex and Gigi argue about the brunette’s relationship with Joplin. She uncomfortably admits that she is jealous of Kim with Schuyler. She shifts the blame feeling it’s because she so insecure with Stacy’s pregnancy and the baby who will be around forever in their lives. They talk things out and both agree they love each other and they will get through this also.
Over at Llanview PD, Jared is released to Charlie, Viki and Natalie. In the same room, Elijah is on the phone with Ross begging him to turn himself in. At the same time, the attorney eyes Tea’s briefcase which the cop is carefully watching. Viki heads to the hospital to check on Blair.
Across town at Llanview Hospital, Fish tasers Rayburn again when he tries to escape Blair’s room. Amelia and David are detained in the hallway as the escapee issue is addressed. Vickers is still skeptical of Dori’s fiancée’s intentions. When they finally get into Blair’s room, David tells the blonde how awful she looks. As Dorian introduces Amelia to Blair and starts to admit the truth around the impending “marriage,” Viki Banks enters and Lord quickly puts the show on. The new Mrs. Banks congratulates Dori on her engagement. Dorian leaves Viki to visit with her niece. Blair is concerned about the vacant time in her head. She knows Tea told her something important, but what? When Viki leaves, she tells the group in the hallway that perhaps her first role as mayor will be marrying the two and then chuckles. She acts Vickers if he had anything to do with the stunt.
Meanwhile at the Manning mansion, Tea arrives wanting to pick up her things. Todd is insistent she leave and he will ship everything. Jack asks her if she deliberately pushed his mom out the window. The attorney insists that it was an accident. She flashes back to her conversation with Blair about having Todd’s child. When Tea goes upstairs to retrieve her briefcase, she quickly returns in a panic! Jack explains that the cabana boyfriend of Blair’s earlier tried to steal it, but was arrested. The briefcase left with the arresting officer. Later Manning and his son sit on the couch munching on chocolate chip cookies. The boy wants to know if his Dad loves Tea.
Back at Llanview PD, Ross is returned and his attorney threatens charges of police brutality when he hears what Rayburn went through. They then talk in private trying to figure out some kind of diversion so Elijah can get the briefcase. Delgado enters and demands her briefcase. Fish refers to Ross as “Raymond” and Tea rolls her eyes at hearing another alias for her former husband. She doesn’t press charges for Ross taking the case since otherwise she would have to leave it as evidence and there are many more charges to hold him anyway.
Charlie, Jared and Natalie enter the parlor at Llanview to find Delphina, Jessica and Brody. As the psychic leaves, she whispers to Banks, “Tell your wife.” Charlie hugs his son and tells him he believes in him. All leave the parlor except Nat and Jared. She tearfully asks her husband what he’s hiding. In the foyer, Brody jokes with Jess about getting messages. She laughs then gets serious as she asks her beau if he thinks Banks had anything to do with Wayne Landers murder. Back inside the parlor, Natalie hears the dreaded admission from her husband. Yes, he had lied to her and the police; he knew Wayne Landers and he had been working with him!
