How to Install a Netgear USB Wireless
- 1). Insert the CD that is included with the wireless device, and click "Install Driver and Utility."
- 2). Select your country from the drop-down menu during installation. Click "Finish" when the installation completes.
- 3). Restart your computer to properly install the drivers.
- 4). Connect your USB wireless adapter to your computer using the extender cable provided. Plug one end into the computer and one end into the adapter.
- 5). Follow the installation prompts that appear when Windows recognizes the new hardware. This alert occurs twice before Windows can fully enable the device for use.
- 6). Enable the Netgear Smart Wireless Settings Utility configuration utility when it pops up. Restart your computer once again.
- 7). Open the Smart Wizard Wireless Settings Utility and use the drop-down menu in the upper-left-hand corner to select your wireless network. Enter a password if one is required. Click "Apply." The utility activates the connection.
